Suffragan of the Archdiocese of Mount Hagen
Mission work started in 1934 while being part of the Vicariate Apostolic of Alexishafen. In 1960 it became part of the newly formed Diocese of Goroka. Established as a Diocese on 8 September 1982. Comprises the whole of Simbu Province.
