The day commenced with a Eucharistic celebration led by Fr. Moïse Paluku, SDB, the school’s Rector, emphasizing the importance of unity and spiritual growth within the school community. In his message, he encouraged everyone to imitate the virtues of St. Joseph. “We should all strive for righteousness, silently transforming the environment we live in,” he stated.

Following the Mass, the atmosphere shifted to one of festivity and camaraderie as students, staff, and guests participated in various activities of the "carnival" (as it is commonly known). The highlight of the day was the mini-Olympic Games, where students competed in events such as running, high jump, long jump, and shot put. These activities fostered teamwork, sportsmanship, and physical fitness, aligning with the Salesian educational philosophy of nurturing both body and spirit.

The Community Day celebration at DBTSS has been a longstanding tradition, reflecting the school’s dedication to fostering a family-like environment. This year, all activities were centered around the congregation’s annual theme: Pilgrims of Hope. In line with this, the theme for this year’s Community Day was "To a Community of Hope Through Sports."

This year’s festivities not only provided students with an opportunity to showcase their athletic talents but also strengthened the bonds within the school community, reinforcing the values of mutual respect, cooperation, and holistic development that are central to the Salesian educational mission. The program concluded with a simple meal shared in an atmosphere of joy and fellowship.
