Tsak Valley, Wapenamanda District: The Lai Deneary of the Catholic Diocese of Wabag together with Caritas Enga, held a Holy Cross procession over the past few weeks in the Tsak Valley. This important event has had a positive impact on the local communities by helping to end tribal rivalries and fights.

During the procession, people from many different tribes walked together, carrying the Holy Cross and praying for peace in the Province. They joined in prayers and songs, which created a spirit of unity and hope for a peaceful society. The procession which began at Sari parish is planned to end in Pompabus parish. This program is not just a religious event exclusive to the Catholics but rather a chance for tribes to gather and talk for peace and reconciliation.
Tribal leaders took part in the procession and discussed ways to compromise and find peaceful solutions to their differences. They realized that fighting only brings pain and suffering to their communities. By focusing on their shared values and beliefs, they began to understand each other better.
The Holy Cross became a strong symbol of peace in the Tsak Valley. Many people are now hopeful that this event will help stop future tribal fights and encourage cooperation among the tribes.
As the procession progresses, many participants expressed their satisfaction and desire for a more peaceful community. Many believe that with continued effort and faith, the Tsak Valley can become a place where all tribes live together peacefully. The Lai Deneary and Caritas Enga have shown that faith and unity can bring about real change in the region.
From Tsak valley the holy cross will visit Pompabus parish where there is high hope for a similar conversion experience.
