During the service, Auxiliary Bishop Justin Ain Soongie reminded everyone of the true meaning of Palm Sunday.

He spoke about Jesus, the Son of God and our Savior King, who entered the city of Jerusalem riding on a donkey.

"Many Israelites saw Him as their king because of His teachings and miracles. However, Jesus went to Jerusalem not just to be celebrated, but to face crucifixion at Calvary", Bishop Justin pointed out.

The parishioners waved palm branches and sang hymns, creating a festive atmosphere. It was a time for reflection and remembrance of Jesus’s journey and sacrifice. The message of hope and love was evident in each prayer and song sung during the mass.

As the celebration came to an end, many attendees expressed their gratitude for being able to gather and commemorate this important day together. The spirit of community was strong, uniting everyone in faith and devotion.

Palm Sunday marks the beginning of Holy Week, leading up to Easter. It serves as a reminder to all Christians of the significance of Jesus' sacrifice and His love for humanity.

The celebration at Sangurap Good Shepherd Parish was a beautiful start to this sacred week.
