Prime Minister First to Sign Condolence Book for Pope Francis

Prime Minister of Papua New Guinea, Hon. James Marape, was the first to sign the Book of Condolences at the Apostolic Nunciature in Port Moresby today, following the announcement of the passing of His Holiness, Pope Francis.

The condolence book was officially opened this morning at the Nunciature, located at Air Niugini Village, Manubada Street, Korobosea, and will remain open to the public from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM until Friday, 25 April.


The Apostolic Nunciature expressed deep gratitude for the many messages of solidarity received from across the country. Members of the public who wish to offer their condolences may also do so via email at nunciaturepng@gmail.com.


Pope Francis, the beloved leader of the Catholic Church, passed away recently, prompting a wave of mourning and tributes from around the world, including the faithful of Papua New Guinea and the Solomon Islands.
