Alotau: The Feast of the Annunciation of our Lord on April 8, 2024 had two religious sisters serving in the Alotau-Sideia Diocese renew their vows and commitment.

It was a joyous occasion for Sr Lilly Ventura DC and Sr Betty Simbajon DC from the Sisters of Charity of St Vincent de Paul as they renewed their vows and commitment with a Eucharistic Celebration led by His Lordship Bishop Rolando Santos CM at the Sacred Heart Secondary School - Hagita Chapel. Joining Bishop Rolando as the con-celebrant was the school's Chaplain, Fr Efren Suralta CM.
Present to witness the auspicious event were religious sisters from other congregations working in the diocese, students of Hagita Secondary School, and well-wishers.
The event also had the rite of initiation of 10 girls in the Vincentian Marian Youth Children of Mary and was facilitated by His Lordship Bishop Rolando Santos CM who encouraged them to always look up to the Blessed Mother as a role model to follow. He also congratulated the two Religious sisters on their milestone in renewing their vows.
The Diocese of Alotau–Sideia wishes to extend its congratulations to the Sisters of Charity of St Vincent de Paul who renewed their vows on the Feast of the Annunciation of our Lord, especially those serving in Alotau.
